Quant-FX

Raising $200K for compute and hardware

QUANT-FX LTD is a B2B quant engineering company. We build strategies, test them, and deploy them. We also license the engine that runs them to other companies. Testing is the slow part, and this round pays for the machines that run it in parallel.

Thesis

Companies that serve traders need strategies that have been tested properly, and an engine that runs them reliably every day. Both take quant research and low-latency C++ engineering. We do that work once and license it to many companies.

We are paid for technology and IP. We never hold client money, and we do not give investment advice. The engine copies each trade from our master account into the client's own MT5 account. The client's broker executes it and holds the money.

That leaves one real limit on growth: how many ideas we can test each week. The raise is aimed at that limit.

Where a trade goes

  1. QuantFX engine

Runs the strategy on our master account

  2. Licensee

Licenses the engine for its own clients, e.g. Elite Gold Academy

  3. Client's own MT5 account

The trade is copied in; the client keeps full control

  4. Client's regulated broker

    Executes the trade

The money stays at the broker, in the client's name.

Group structure

ANAD Holdings

  • QUANT-FX LTDEngland and Wales. The engine, the IP and the engineering. The issuer in this round.
  • EGA (Elite Gold Academy)A Delaware SaaS company in the same ANAD Holdings group, and one licensee of the engine. A related party of QUANT-FX LTD.

Why compute is the bottleneck

Ideas are prototyped in Python on AWS, and the ones worth keeping are rewritten in C++20 for production. Testing sits between the two, and it is where the weeks go. A strategy is only worth running once it has passed walk-forward, out-of-sample and Monte Carlo tests, with costs and slippage modelled in every run.

Backtests are independent of each other, so the queue splits across machines and wall-clock time falls almost in line with the number of workers. In quant research, money is time: the queue below takes about 28 days on one worker and about 10.4 hours on 64.

Illustrative

2,000 backtests × 20 min = 40,000 compute-minutes

1 worker, one test after another

40,000 min / 1

~28 days

64 workers in parallel

40,000 min / 64 = 625 min

~10.4 hours

Illustrative arithmetic only. It assumes independent backtests that split cleanly across workers. Real run times depend on strategy complexity, data volume and hardware.

In practice that means more hypotheses tested each week. Licensees get new strategies sooner, and re-validated ones after a regime change.

Revenue model

Three lines of revenue, all of them for technology and engineering.

  • Engine licensing

Companies pay a recurring fee to run our engine for their own clients.

  • White-label infrastructure

We build bespoke strategies and copy engines for a company and run them on its behalf, including monitoring. Also a recurring fee.

  • Custom quant development

Companies bring us their quant or C++ projects and pay per project.

Revenue grows with the number of licensees and with how many strategies we can take through testing, which is the part this raise speeds up.

Proof

Two things back this raise: an engine with a recorded track record, and a founder with a decade in live markets.

The engine we license trades our own master strategy account. The equity curve and every month are on the track record page.

Questions

QUANT-FX LTD (QuantFX) is a B2B quantitative engineering and trading-infrastructure company. Companies license our engine, have us build and run white-label infrastructure (bespoke strategies and copy engines), or bring us their own quant and C++ projects.

No. QuantFX is not a fund, an asset manager or a regulated financial firm. We never hold, pool, manage or withdraw client money, and we do not give investment advice. The engine copies each trade from our master account into the client's own MT5 account. The client's broker executes it and holds the money, and the client keeps full control of the account.

Mostly compute and hardware. The indicative $200K seed is split across five lines: parallel backtesting cluster ($90K), low-latency execution hardware ($50K), research data and cloud burst compute ($30K), monitoring and reliability ($15K), and legal, IP and entity work ($15K).
